Today seems to be a busy day for Square Enix as the company has launched their Final Fantasy Portal App as well as Final Fantasy VII onto iOS. Android users are supposed to be getting the Portal App as well, but so far Square Enix hasn't announced a release date for Final Fantasy VII for Android, or if it will even be coming at all. In the meantime though, Square Enix has confirmed the release date for Lara Croft GO for mobile as well as releasing new screenshots as well.
We reported back in the beginning of this month that Square Enix planned to release Lara Croft GO onto Android on August 27th, 2015. Well today Square Enix confirmed that this will be the official release date for Lara Croft GO along with its price being $4.99 when it arrives. Basically this announcement seems like it was to appease us Android gamers while iOS gamers get their grubby hands on Final Fantasy VII.
In case you are not familiar with this game, Lara Croft GO is a new mobile game themed around the Tomb Raider main character that has been designed and development by the same folks behind the popular Hitman GO game. It features a turn-based style of gameplay where players will be trying to solve puzzles, avoid hazards, and find loot, all while trying to get through each level.
We will post an update when Lara Croft GO arrives as well as whenever the Final Fantasy Portal App appears on Google Play. We've reached out to Square Enix to find out whether or not we can expect to see Final Fantasy VII on Android anytime soon. In the meantime, enjoy the new screenshots.
