Disney brings us the new side-scrolling platformer DuckTales: Remastered

We knew this game was coming to mobile but the only information we saw about it was that it would be landing on iOS. So imagine out surprise when we got notified that Disney brought their DuckTales: Remastered over to Android as well. Hello childhood memories, it is a pleasure to see you again!

DuckTales: Remasted is a new side-scrolling platformer from Disney that was once a rather popular 8-bit game. In this version though there is no 8-bit visuals but instead remastered vHD visuals, bringing this game into a more modern age. The goal of this game, if you don't remember from when it was originally released, is to travel the world (Himalayas, Amazon, Transylvania, African mines, and Moon) in search of five legendary treasures as Scrooge McDuck. However, there are plenty of hazards and enemies to deal with.

DuckTales Remastered Features:

• PLAY as Scrooge McDuck in this remastering of the classic, side-scrolling platformer game
• EXPLORE the Himalayas, Amazon, Transylvania, African mines, and Moon in search of the five Legendary Treasures
• ATTACK enemies with Scrooge's iconic pogo jump and cane swing
• BATTLE and DEFEAT villains in epic boss fights
• POWER UP with invincibility and discover extra hearts to increase health
• COLLECT gems to UNLOCK over 90 pieces of production art from the original TV series
• BLUETOOTH controller supported

Aside from the new visuals, the remastered part of it all adds a new Easy Mode to the game, controls designed for mobile gameplay, an expanded storyline from the original, as well as the original soundtrack being remastered as well. However, all of the voice acting from the original game has been kept in this version as well.

For those of you looking to pick up this game, DuckTales: Remastered is available on Google Play for $9.99. Yes, it is a premium game with no IAPs.
