The Samsung Galaxy S6 has been revealed, along with the concurrent S6 Edge, in an event in Barcelona today.

The S6 hosts multiple improvements over the S5. The smartphones themselves are built using metal and glass, which is being touted for its "quality" build. Both S6 and S6 Edge have A 577ppi screen and 5MP camera along with cordless charging that promises 4 hours of battery life after 10 minutes of charging. Samsung Pay is also launching with the phone. The new smartphones are releasing April 10 and use Android Lollipop.

A new version of the Samsung Gear VR is also coming April 10 that is compatible with the new smartphones. The Samsung Gear VR Innovator's Edition was previously released late last year, the only real difference along with compatibility is a 15% reduction in size.
