OnePlus One update will integrate SwiftKey into CyanogenMod 11S
SwiftKey has become one of the most popular third-party keyboard replacements over the years, and for anyone that owns a OnePlus One who hasn’t tried it out, you’ll get your chance soon.
In an announcement made by OnePlus today, an upcoming update to CyanogenMod 11S will directly integrate SwiftKey into the software on all OnePlus One units. After the update is installed on a handset, the new SwiftKey keyboard can be activated by heading into the Languages and Input section within Settings. For what it’s worth, this integrated keyboard appears to be the exact same keyboard replacement that can be downloaded for free from the Google Play store.
“We always look to improve user experience by working with partners who share our vision of great products and sensible innovation”, said Helen Li, OnePlus’s chief of mobile product. “SwiftKey improves the keyboard experience for our global user base with support for 81 languages.”
This particular update will not slow down the upcoming update to Android 5.0 Lollipop for the One. Do you plan on trying out SwiftKey if you haven’t already and are running a OnePlus One?
