AT&T announces HTC One (M8) update with Android 4.4.4, HD Voice, and more
Good news, AT&T HTC One (M8) owners: You’re getting a software update! However, it’s not the one that most of you are likely hoping for.
AT&T announced a new update for its HTC One (M8) that bumps the device up to version 0P6B120 and Android 4.4.4. Included is support for AT&T HD Voice, which will provide improved voice call quality when you’re connected with another HD Voice phone. There are several others goodies in there, too, though:
- Enables HD Voice
- Updates Android OS to Android 4.4.4
- Security enhancement
- Bluetooth enhancement
- Adds AMBS Cloud Messaging Integration
- Adds Copy and Paste camera feature
- Adds Usage Manager App
- Improves battery performance
- Updates AT&T Ready2Go
- Updates Visual Voicemail
Sure, it’s not Android 5.0 Lollipop, but you are getting a big new feature, some (hopefully) better battery life, and a handful of other goodies. That’s not a bad way to kick off 2015 if you ask us.
