Samsung’s ‘Galaxy S6′ is coming, along with a ‘Galaxy S6 Edge’ variant

At the start of November, early rumors broke regarding Samsung’s next flagship within the Galaxy lineup. With a codename of “Project Zero,” the device is rumored to indicate that the manufacturer is going back to the drawing board for its next big thing.

Now, according to a new report published on Monday by SamMobile, more details regarding Samsung’s future plans have come to light. The report claims that the next flagship within the Galaxy S lineup is going to be called — wait for it — the “Galaxy S6.” Unfortunately, there is not a lot to go along with this little bit of information. It’s still believed that Samsung will shove a bunch of high-end specifications into the Galaxy S6, and going back to the drawing board could mean the newest flagship has a brand new design aesthetic.

However, that’s not all. While Samsung is reportedly planning on cutting back smartphone releases in 2015, this report also claims that the company has a Galaxy S6 variant already in the works: the Galaxy S6 Edge. According to SamMobile, this device will feature some kind of curved display, and it could very well have the same implementation that we saw from the Galaxy Note Edge, which was announced and released in 2014.

Would you buy a Galaxy S6 Edge?
