TuneIn Radio Gets Material Update In Addition To Chromecast Support
TuneIn Radio may have made users wait patiently for Chromecast support, but it's here at last. Not only that, there are bits of Material Design sprinkled throughout the latest version of the app as well.
You have your updated menu button that rotates into a back arrow, Play Store style. When you tap the drop-down menu, the corners have been rounded off. The navigation bar stays black, but the status bar is tinted. All of this looks spiffy on an Android 5.0 device.
These changes aside, the bulk of the UI remains the same, and it goes to show that an app doesn't need a drastic overhaul to feel current. Could the designers go further? Sure. But when the update also contains Chromecast support, you won't hear any griping from me.
What's new:
- The wait is over-- Google Chromecast support is now here!
- Android Lollipop layout & design
- Lock screen enhancements
- Alarm improvements
- General bug fixes
- Android TV support
