Google Issues Small, Wearable-Related Play Store Update

We can’t say that we’re too surprised to see Google feverishly updating its application before Android Lollipop’s official release. One of Google’s key applications, the Google Play Store, was updated to Material Design quite a while ago. However, a recent minor update has now bumped up the version number to 5.0.37 up from 5.0.32.

This recent update is very minor, but it brings a new Wearable sensors/activity data permission bucket. This was done in order to help explain permissions for apps that can grab data from wearables, such as heart rate monitors or other trackers like Google Fit. Maybe this update isn’t as revolutionary as 4.9.13, which added the material design look and feel as well as content pages, but it’s definitely nice to see the new things popping up for the most popular app market for Android.

You can keep the track of previous Play Store releases and be up-to-date with the new one thanks to XDA Senor Member Mr hOaX, who gathered them all together and shared to you. The newest version of Play Store is always there, so if you haven’t received an official update, you should definitely go to the Play Store sharing thread and grab the most recent version of Google’s application.
