Motorola Nexus 6 pre-orders now live in Google Play store
The Nexus 6 is here! The Nexus 6 is here!
Just as expected, the Motorola Nexus 6 is now available for pre-order from Google Play. Both the Midnight Blue and Cloud White models are available, as are the 32GB and 64GB capacities. Pricing is set at $649 for the 32GB model and $699 for the 64GB variant.
If you’d like a spec refresher, we’re happy to oblige. The Nexus 6 is the largest and most high-res Nexus smartphone to date, sporting a 5.92-inch 2560×1440 AMOLED display. The N6 also has a 2-megapixel camera and front-facing speakers on its face and a 13-megapixel shooter on its rear. That 13-megapixel cam features a dual LED flash and optical image stabilization.
Packed inside of the N6’s 10.06mm-thick body is a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of storage, a 3220mAh battery, Qi wireless charging and 4G LTE connectivity. As with all Nexus phones, the Nexus 6 comes with a pure build of Android, this one being version 5.0 Lollipop.
The Nexus 6 is priced quite a bit higher than other recent Nexus phones, but its price is actually in line with other comparable high-end phones. The good news is if that Google’s N6 is too pricey for you, you’ve got a couple of options. The N6 will be available from all five big US carriers, who will likely offer it with a subsidy, and Google is also still selling the Nexus 5 for $349.
So, who’s buying?
