LG G3 Stylus breaks cover ahead of IFA
The LG G3 loses power, and that high-resolution display, but gains a stylus in this 3G-only device
LG tonight (and a few weeks after accidentally leaking it) has announced LG G3 Stylus. While it shares the LG G3 name, it's lacking most of the punch of this year's flagship. The QHD display has been traded for a qHD display — from a 2560 x 1440 resolution down to 960 x 540 — but in the same 5.5-inch size. The processor similarly been downgraded to a quad-core set running at 1.3GHz. It's only got 8GB of on-board storage, and it's limited to 3G data as well. But it does have the same software experience as the G3 proper, and it's got the Rubberdium stylus. So there's that. And you'll find a 13-megapixel camera on board.
The LG G3 Stylus is headed to Brazil in September, with countries in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and CIS to follow.
LG will be showing the G3 Stylus at the IFA conference next week in Berlin.
