LG G Vista official, unflattering specs paired with a familiar design

After a veritable flood of leaks, the LG G Vista on Verizon is official. Marketed as a mid-range relative to the flagship LG G3, the G Vista brings together touches of the G3′s design and pairs them with specs that generally leave us unimpressed. Running down the specs we can find a 5.7-inch qHD (960×540) display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB storage plus microSD card slot, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3,200mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

The G Vista’s screen is disappointing due to its lowly qHD resolution. At a size of 5.7-inches, we’d expect at least 720p. That said, the G Vista’s 3,200mAh battery should keep users powered up for a while. Verizon has priced the LG G Vista at $99 on-contract, which may be just a tad too high for what it’s offering. For the same price, you can get the G3 on Verizon, which is quite possibly the best flagship on the market.
