ZTE Grand S Pro arrives at US Cellular with 5-inch display, $99.99 price tag

ZTE has made a number of high-end phones to date, including the Grand S II and Nubia 5s. Unfortunately, we don’t see many of these devices make their way to the US market. ZTE and US Cellular could be leading the charge to change that, though, with the launch of the ZTE Grand S Pro.

Available today from US Cellular for $99.99 with a 2-year contract, the ZTE Grand S Pro is an upper mid-range to lower high-end Android smartphone that boasts a 5-inch 720p display and 2-megapixel camera on its face and a 13-megapixel shooter on its backside.

Buried inside the Grand S Pro’s 10.1mm-thick frame is a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8974AB processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, a microSD slot and a 2300mAh battery. The device also boasts Dolby Digital Plus audio, 4G LTE connectivity and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

While the ZTE Grand S Pro isn’t quite as high-end as its Grand S II and Nubia 5s siblings, it’s still a respectable Android smartphone, especially for only $100 on-contract. Here’s to hoping that the launch of the Grand S Pro leads to more higher-end ZTE hardware hitting US carriers, because more competition and choice is always good.
