SolForge TCG Open Beta Now Available on Android

Published on Friday, 20 June 2014 12:09

Back in 2012, Stone Blade Entertainment led a rather successful crowdfunding effort to produce an all new cross-platform card game titled SolForge. Development of the title is headed by Richard Garfield creator and designer of the venerable TCG, Magic the Gathering. Given the pedigree of the talent behind the game, SolForge generated an appropriate level of gamer interest, culminating in $429,000 raised out of a requested $250,000. Following the consumer response, an open beta was released for iOS and Steam. Now, with the groundwork properly laid, Stone Blade has announced the launch of the Sol Forge open beta for Android.

Starting today, Android gamers will be able to join the fray and build a deck to challenge players in online multiplayer matches and tournaments. For those interested in a solo experience, SolForge offers AI opponents. Hundreds of free cards are available to earn and add to your collection, or if preferred, bought instantly through IAP. Players are also able to sell off unwanted cards and use the revenue to acquire new cards from the marketplace. What currently sets SolForge apart from the competition is a leveling feature which enables players to level up their cards as well as their player character, allowing for a new dynamic in deck construction. Promised features for the full release include a single player campaign and co-operative raids.

If you are a TCG loving fiend, a fan of fantasy or just plain old curious, head to the Play Store now and download a copy of SolForge for free.
