Earlier this week, we created forums for the Galaxy Tab 4 line of tablets. But while this tablet family came in at a very affordable price, many potential users were undoubtedly put off by the device family’s low screen resolution. Now, Samsung intends on rectifying this with the high end Galaxy Tab S tablet line.

Yesterday evening, Samsung unveiled the latest in its tablet lineup, the Galaxy Tab S. The Tab S is available in two different sizes: 10.5″ and 8.4″. Both devices feature nearly identical specifications, aside from their display sizes, including Super AMOLED displays coming in at a pixel-popping 2560×1600 resolution, which equates to 288 and 359 ppi for the two sizes. The tablets also feature a rather slim 6.6mm girth, 3 GB RAM, and a speedy 1.9 GHz Exynos 5 Octa processor. These devices also pack other OEM-specific features that we’ve seen on other Samsung devices such as Multi-Window, finger print scanner functionality, and more.

With these high end specifications, amazing screens, and thin profiles, Samsung is clearly gunning at the premium market. Will the Galaxy Tab S be your next tablet? Let us know in the comments below, and then head over to our newly created Samsung Galaxy Tab S forums to get started.
