7-inch Samsung Galaxy W phone becomes official in Korea

Samsung has never shied away from new concepts and today’s announcement of the Galaxy W shows that that strategy isn’t changing anytime soon. The Galaxy W is Samsung’s latest device for Korea, and it’s characterized by the fact that it’s a phone with a 7-inch display. The Galaxy W features a 7-inch 720p screen, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB storage that’s expandable via microSD, 8-megapixel camera, 3500mAh battery and, shockingly, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Why Samsung didn’t opt to use KitKat is beyond us, but there you have it. The rather poorly-specced Samsung Galaxy W.

The Galaxy W is slated to hit SK Telecom and will have a pricetag of around $490 US dollars.

What are your thoughts on a gargantuan phone like the Galaxy W?
