Sense 6 Rollout to Begin Today for the Sprint HTC One M7

Capture

Just a couple days ago, we talked about how the Verizon HTC One M7 was poised to receive its update to Sense 6 some time later this week. Back then, we also speculated that the updates for the Sprint and AT&T models wouldn’t be too far off since HTC listed them listed them as being undergoing certification in their software updates page. Thankfully, this speculation proved to be correct, as Sprint has now begun the process of rolling out the update to consumer devices.

Today’s update comes in at software version 5.03.651.3, and it bumps up the device’s Sense version to 6. And just like the update we saw for the Verizon M7, it brings several new features that were previously exclusive to the M8 along for the ride. This includes new functionality such as Extreme Power Savings mode, an updated UI, a few updated first party apps (Camera, Gallery, TV App), and a refreshed BlinkFeed interface.

The update hasn’t begun rolling out to consumer devices just yet, but it is slated to begin today. However, it’s important to keep in mind that as always, these updates will be delivered in stages that can take several days or more. You can view this update’s release notes over on Sprint’s site and get in on the discussion in this thread.
