Password Protect Your Apps with Xposed

Do you often leave your phone unlocked when not in use? Do your friends or significant other try to read your text messages while you sleep? Do you frequently share your device with friends but want to restrict their access? There are often situations where a full system-wide password isn’t practical. However, that deosn’t mean that you can’t keep your private data reasonably protected from prying eyes.

There are many applications that can add password protection to your applications and games. However, most of these incur a significant battery hit. However, XDA Senior Member FatMinMin‘s new Xposed module MinMinLock uses an event-driven method to determine when an application has been started and then prompts for a password when needed. You can select which applications should be protected from a simple list. The module is very effective, and can protect your data from casual snooping. However, it’s worth noting that without full device encryption, it’s only a matter of time before a determined set of prying eyes succeeds.
