Your HTC One Max Hasn’t Received its Official KitKat OTA Yet? Here’s a Mirror!

The gargantuan HTC One Max is HTC’s answer to Samsung’s Galaxy Note line. And while it lacks the S Pen functionality of the aforementioned ‘phablet,’ the One Max is a viable alternative for those looking for a traditional smartphone experience on a very large device.

A few days ago, the European version of the HTC One Max started receiving an OTA update to Android 4.4.2. And then some time yesterday, the Sprint variant of the device started receiving Android 4.4.2 as well.

The update for the European version of the device comes in at software version 2.61.401.3 and baseband version 1.54.401.1. The Sprint version received its update to software version 2.09.651.1 with baseband version 1.48.50.0109. And although they feature different version numbers, these updates both pack Android 4.4.2, laced with custom HTC’s Sense 5.5 UI. Sadly, it’s not Sense 6, but we’re not too far off from an official update.

As expected, these updates are being delivered in stages, which means that not every device will receive the update good immediately. Luckily, the community has stepped up by mirroring the updates so that everyone can get in the action, regardless of whether or not it’s officially their time.

The update mirrors for the Sprint update come courtesy of XDA Senior Members YoungAceAtlanta and Jm@n, who mirrored the update on Google Drive and Android File Host. On the other hand, the update for the European version of the device was mirrored by Senior Member pradeepvizz over on Android File Host.

If you’re running either the Sprint or International version of the device and would like to update to KitKat but haven’t yet received the OTA, head over to the mirrored update links above to get in on the action.

[Many thanks to XDA Portal Supporter Titokhan for the tip!]
