LG G Pro 2 shows its rear-mounted buttons to the camera
Jonesing to learn more about LG’s upcoming flagship phone, the G Pro 2? The company recently confirmed that the follow-up to 2013′s Optimus G Pro will make its official debut in February, but as is often the case with new smartphone hardware, images of the G Pro 2 have leaked out before its announcement.
The device shown in these photos sports a design that’s fairly similar to LG’s other recent flagship releases, the G2 and G Flex, complete with rounded corners and a set of rear-mounted volume and power buttons resting beneath its camera. There’s also a camera flash, loudspeaker and some LG branding on the back of the G Pro 2. A side view of the phone gives us a small peek at its front, which looks fairly clean with only an earpiece and LG tattoo.
The LG G Pro 2′s spec details are still up in the air at this point, but considering that its predecessor sported a large 1080p display and quad-core processor, it seems likely that the G Pro 2 will boast similar features. The rumor mill has suggested that the G Pro 2 could come to market with a 6-inch screen, up from the 5.5 incher found on the Optimus G Pro, as well as a Snapdragon 800 chip and 3GB of RAM. While obviously still unconfirmed, those features sound like pretty safe bets for a 2014 flagship phone.
What do you think of the LG G Pro 2 so far? Does its rumored combo of a big, high-res display and rear-mounted buttons pique your interest?
