SmugMug’s Camera Awesome app comes to Android

Despite the recent announcement about improvements to Google+ that focused heavily on “auto awesome” features, other developers have been busy cranking up their apps to make production of dazzling photos easier for users. One of those developers is the popular image hosting site SmugMug and its Camera Awesome app. Previously available for the iOS platform, SmugMug has released Camera Awesome for the Android platform. Camera Awesome  brings a variety of filters and special effects to help liven up photos. The app also has options built-in to help users share the results of their work with a variety of social networks. SmugMug included several shooting modes including high-speed burst shots, panoramas and HDR images from within the app so you don’t have to switch between the camera and the photo-editing software. SmugMug has even included some special goodies for owners of Tegra-powered devices. Thanks to the extra effects the Tegra chip is capable of supporting, Camera Awesome enables the ability to capture slow-motion video and enhanced HDR. If you happen to have a Tegra device with an integrated stylus, like the forthcoming Tegra Note 7, support for use of the stylus is built-in to the app. Camera Awesome costs $2.99 and can be grabbed from the Google Play store using one of the links below the gallery of screenshots.
