If you're a T-Mobile customer who has ideas about how the magenta carrier could be better, you're a perfect fit for T-Mo's new Magenta Insiders program.

T-Mobile this week quietly rolled out Magenta Insiders, a program that T-Mo aims to use to gather feedback and insights from customers. Reddit user BountyHunter177 and Twitter user Tiffany Ewing both unexpectedly received packages from T-Mobile this week, and inside were T-Mo t-shirts, a card, and a free Samsung Galaxy S9.

Opening the box played an introductory video from T-Mobile CEO John Legere, who explains that T-Mo wants to use customer input to help get better. "We’ll be counting on your feedback and your insights to help to shape our strategy for the future," Legere says. "We’re customer experience obsessed, so who better to guide the future of T-Mobile than our own customers?"

The Magenta Insiders page on T-Mobile's website sheds a bit more light on the program, explaining that participants will mostly receive brief surveys through email or text. Those who join Magenta Insiders will be required to agree to an non-disclosure agreement because T-Mobile may give them early looks at programs and services that aren't yet commercially available.

It's unclear how T-Mobile selected customers to become Magenta Insiders, but if you're not yet in the program and would like to be, you can submit your info to T-Mo for consideration. Only one person per account can join the program, and existing members are not currently able to invite others into it.

T-Mobile CEO John Legere regularly says that listening to customers is important and helps T-Mo to shape its upcoming products and services, so this Magenta Insiders program makes sense as a way for T-Mobile to continue to do that.
