A new “tipster” source surfaced yesterday and claims to have some details about Meizu’s forthcoming Meizu MX3 smartphone. According to
@srcleaks, the images above and below show the front and back of the MX3 along with dimensions for the device. The image of the front is fairly consistent with the last render that surfaced back in March. The device appears to be similar in looks to an HTC One or possibly an iPhone, especially with the large bezels at the top and bottom.
According to @srcleaks, the device will have a 5.1-inch screen, which is consistent with earlier rumors, although a report in late May hinted at the device having at least a 5.5-inch screen based on new circuit board believed to be intended for the MX3. Whatever size screen the device ships with, it is believed it will support a full HD 1080p resolution. According to the sources, Meizu plans to install a 13MP camera in the smartphone. While the device is expected to ship with Android 4.2 installed, it will have a Meizu skin called Flyme 3.0 running on top of that.
The Meizu MX3 is not expected to be released outside of the Chinese market. No word on pricing or scheduled availability has surfaced.
