LG brings four unlocked phones to Amazon Prime Exclusive program

The Amazon Prime Exclusive program is meant to drop the price of a phone, thanks to the ads that Amazon puts on the devices.

Now, LG has decided to join the program and it’s bringing four unlocked devices to the mix. Announced today, the Life’s Good crew is adding the LG G6, LG G6+, LG Q6, and the LG X charge, each of which will get a healthy dose of advertisements installed to help off-set the price of the device.

The G6 and G6+ are the highest end of the bunch, but they also come with the biggest discounts. The LG Q6 and LG X charge are mid-range and entry-level devices, respectively, but they also receive significant discounts relative to their regular prices.

The Amazon ads are displayed only on the lock screen, so they don’t really impact your everyday use. Plus, Amazon has been offering a lock screen ad experience for years with its Kindle lineup, which has seemed to work well enough for the company.

LG is the newest addition to the Amazon Prime Exclusive program, joining the ranks with Motorola, Alcatel, and Nokia. At this point there are devices that fill every category and price point, with LG filling out the top-end and Alcatel rounding out the bottom with low-end handsets.

Have you tried out any phones from Amazon’s Prime Exclusive Phones program?
