Verizon delaying free Gear S2 that was offered with Samsung Galaxy S7

Verizon recently had a promotion where it offered customers a free Samsung Gear S2 with the purchase of the Galaxy S7 or S7 edge. Unfortunately, it seems that demand was higher than expected, as the carrier has delayed shipments of the smartwatch until May.

With the Galaxy S7 selling 30% more units than the Galaxy S6 during its launch, it makes sense that demand is higher than expected. Either Verizon or Samsung is having issue with stock, so people will be receiving the watches in May, or possibly even later in the summer. Hopefully it won’t take too long.
