Sony Xperia Z3 now comes in purple

Sony’s got a tradition of releasing its Xperia phones with purple duds, and it looks like the Xperia Z3 won’t be bucking that trend.

Sony’s Hong Kong arm today revealed the Xperia Z3 Purple Diamond Edition, a version of its current Android flagship with a black front and purple rear. Along with its new purple outfit, this Xperia Z3 comes preloaded with content from the Disney movie Frozen.

The purple Xperia Z3 will launch in Hong Kong at a price of HK$4998 (€555, $645 USD). There’s no word on when or if it’ll be released outside of Hong Kong.

Sony’s already got four Xperia Z3 colors available, including the basic black and white as well as copper and green models. This new purple version adds a fun new hue to the Xperia Z3 lineup, and I’m betting that the combination of the new color and Frozen content will get at least a few consumers interested in this Xperia Z3.
