Snapdragon 810 Powered LG G Flex 2 Launching at CES 2015

The first generation LG G Flex was one of the most interesting devices of 2013. This phablet was one of only a select handful of curved-screened devices, and it featured an innovative “self-healing” rear shell that kept it looking fresh after extended use. LG has released it as one of its most premium handsets. They’ve also maintained support for the device, bestowing official Lollipop on the LG G Flex.

We’ve been talking about rumors surrounding the G Flex’s successor since back in September. According to multiple reports, the LG G Flex 2 will be announced just in few days at CES in Las Vegas, NV. The revamped curved beauty will be powered by a beastly 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. It will also support LTE-A connectivity, capable of transferring data at a ridiculously high 450 Mbps.

While there is no exact confirmation about the phone’s size, it’s rumored to be 5” or 5.5”. The phone’s screen will likely display content in Full HD resolution (not Quad HD as previously reported). LG isn’t planning on replacing the self-healing shell with something else, so we should expect to see this “magical” material covering the rear phone once again.

It’s very possible that the LG G Flex 2 will be available to but in the US and other parts of the world. The price remains unknown, but we should prepare our credit cards for something pricey. Everything will be known for sure on January 6, when CES officially starts.
