Gameloft announces Dungeon Hunter 5. Pre-registration is now live

Published on Tuesday, 20 January 2015 11:22

Gameloft has announced the next installment into the Dungeon Hunter franchise, officially called Dungeon Hunter 5, and along with this Gameloft has now made pre-launch registration live on the game's official micro-site. Also, besides all of this, Gameloft has also released a Developer Diary video which does show some of the gameplay that will arrive with Dungeon Hunter 5.

During CES 2015 we had the chance to go hands-on with an early copy of Dungeon Hunter 5 and while we can't talk about what we experienced and saw until we are allowed to, we can mentioned that the game is officially a thing as of today. Also today Gameloft has opened up pre-launch registration where you can earn exclusive in-game rewards that you will receive once the game officially launches. The rewards will be added based on the amount of social sharing of the Dungeon Hunter 5 micro-site ends up getting. The more it is shared on Twitter, Facebook, and Email, the more rewards will be unlocked for when the game launches.

In regards to the game itself, you do get to learn a bit about what to expect from the Developer Diary video Gameloft released today. It is a direct sequel to Dungeon Hunter 4 that follows the consequences of the Demon Wars that happened in that game. In Dungeon Hunter 5, players will play as bounty hunters instead of a soldier in a war. This new installment sees a lot of improvements come to the game as well in pretty much ever aspect. Everything has been built from the ground-up as well and pretty much everything is new in Dungeon Hunter 5 including the graphics, gameplay, animation and so on.

There is also a new multiplayer feature in Dungeon Hunter 5 where players essentially create their own dungeons, placing your minions inside it, and basically protecting your gold. Players can raid your dungeon in the ope to steal some of it and you, of course, can raid other player's dungeons to steal theirs. In order to accomplish this though, you will have to beat the player who owns that particular dungeon at the end of it, essentially making them the 'end boss'.

Dungeon Hunter 5 will also now introduce a new Fusion system in regards to the loot/gear you collect. Essentially, as you level up your character your gear tends to fall behind. So collecting new stronger gear is needed in order for you to keep defeating stronger enemies. Now you will be able to use your current loot/gear as you level up because you will now be able to upgrade the gear you have, basically leveling it up as you level up. Eventually you will be able to upgrade your favorite gear to epic new versions of it with all new stats and visual looks.

While we can't go into any more detail about this game for right now, you won't have to wait too long before we can spill the beans about Dungeon Hunter 5 more fully. Until then, you can watch the Developer Diary in the video above.
