AT&T HTC One (M8) now getting Android 4.4.4, HTC Eye Experience

Start your update engines, AT&T HTC One (M8) owners, because it looks like your Android 4.4.4 update is now rolling out.

After removing its support page for its HTC One (M8) Android 4.4.4 update last week, AT&T has now put the page up once again, saying that the rollout is starting today. Additionally, users have begun seeing the 864MB update hitting their phones.

According to AT&T, this update brings with it a bump to Android 4.4.4, HD Voice support, Copy and Paste camera feature, Usage Manager app, improved battery performance, an updated AT&T Ready2Go app, and updated Visual Voicemail. HTC exec Mo Versi recently revealed that the update includes HTC’s Eye Experience camera features.

It may not be Android 5.0, but this update is still pretty important. Not only does it add support for high-quality voice calls on AT&T, but the new camera features included with the HTC Eye Experience ought to please anyone that regularly takes photos with their One (M8).

To check for this update, grab your AT&T-branded One (M8) and head into Settings > AT&T Software update > Check for updates. Be sure to let us know when it arrives in your neck of the woods!
