Downloading an application in Android is an effortless task. Everything can be done through the Google Play Store, the main app store on the platform, and consequently one of its most frequently used applications. It’s hard to imagine a full day going by without opening Google’s Play Store app to install new apps, buy a video, or simply update your existing apps.

Google is constantly updating its applications, like Messenger which was also updated today. The newly published Google Play Store 5.1.11 brings a few of interesting features that are visible to the naked eye. The navigation drawer now takes up the full screen height. Android 5.0 Lollipop users will also see shadows of the real-time cards. The current redesign is definitely a step in the right direction, as the app finally makes use of the recent Android changes implemented in Lollipop.

In addition to the visuals, the Play Store finally shows purchases made by the app. Previously, order history was only available through the Web browser, which was far from convenient, and you had to rely on third party applications to keep track while on mobile. Now, they’ve essentially become obsolete. Google also simplified payment methods, which can now be added in just a few steps.

The roll-out of the newest Play Store update should start pretty soon. However, you don’t have to wait until the update hits your device. All you need to do is visit the Google Play Store thread by XDA Senior Member Mr hOaX where you can find downloads for the all recent updates to the Play Store.
