HTC One (M8) GPe, One (M7) GPe getting Android 5.0.1 right now

Not only was HTC not kidding when it said that the HTC One Google Play edition Lollipop updates would begin today, but the updates are actually starting earlier than expected!

Both the HTC One (M8) GPe and One (M7) GPe are now receiving their updates to Lollipop. What’s notable is that these updates are bumping the devices to Android 5.0.1, which was just released to AOSP a few days ago.

These updates may be rolling out a couple of weeks later than originally anticipated, but I’m betting that anyone rocking an HTC One (M8) GPe or One (M7) GPe are pretty pleased to be some of the first to get Android 5.0.1 pushed to them.
