Google’s Device Assist app wants to help you understand your Android device
While most of us probably know all about the features of our phones and tablets and know exactly where to look for solutions to problems, not every smartphone or tablet owner is that savvy. That’s why Google today launched it’s newest Android app, dubbed Device Assist.
As its name implies, Device Assist aims to help users understand and troubleshoot their phone or tablet. The app can give support for detected issues related to things like GPS, connectivity and battery, and it can also offer tips on how to use features and improve your device’s performance. Anyone using a Nexus or Google Play edition device can also easily get in contact with Google support.
Device Assist is only available to Nexus, Google Play edition and Android One devices running Android 5.0. It’s kind of a bummer that not all Android devices are supported, but because manufacturer-made user interfaces can differ from Google’s own version of Android, it’s understandable that Google may not offer support for HTC Sense, Samsung TouchWiz and other UIs in its app.
If you’re able to download Device Assist, be sure
