Don’t Forget About Birthdays with Birthday Reminder

A person’s birthday is, without a doubt, one of the most important days in his or her life. In our fast-paced lives, we often forget about calling our loved ones and friends to wish them a happy birthday. Google Calendar in Android is quite helpful in letting us know about scheduled meetings and tasks. Unfortunately, the calendar isn’t that good at notifying us about upcoming birthdays.

Every tool that can help with our ability to remember is definitely worth a shot. XDA Forum Member Noisemaker00 used his coding skills to write an application that does a simple job: reminds us about upcoming birthdays for our contacts. The feature list isn’t long, but thanks to the Birthday Reminder app, you won’t keep forgetting about upcoming birthdays of your friends, co-workers, and family.

This app is fairly safe to use. It uses only two permissions, which are explained in the thread. The app works on Ice Cream Sandwich and newer versions. No root or any special requirements are needed.
