Xposed GEL Settings Back from the Dead, Works with Google Now Launcher 3.4!

R9ZvRPB

Back in February, we first talked about Xposed GEL Settings. For those who don’t remember, this Xposed module changes how the Google Now Launcher works, and gives power users all of the tweaking and customization that should have been there in the first place. As you can imagine, this module quickly became a crowd favorite of anyone rocking a rooted device with Xposed Framework installed.

Unfortunately, last Wednesday’s update to the Google Search app killed compatibility with Xposed GEL Settings. This wasn’t ideal, as users essentially had to choose between running the most recent version of the Google Now Launcher without module compatibility or an older version of the launcher that retains compatibility. Understandably, this was incredibly frustrating to many users who came to depend on the customization afforded by this innovative module.

Luckily, progress always seems to move forward. And as soon as the Google Search update broke compatibility with the module, XDA Senior Member theknut got back to work. And thanks to some help from Recognized Contributor C3C076, Forum Moderator GermainZ, and Forum Member Massi-X, Xposed GEL Settings is back as public beta 1.6.1.

It’s great to see the aftermarket development community triumph over setbacks like this. So without further ado, head over to the original thread to get Xposed GEL Settings. The release notes for this new version are available in this post.
