Google announces Classroom platform for schools, to start testing next month

Google has been working in the education sector for a while now with Apps for Education, but the latest addition to the list of apps is pretty huge. Called Google Classroom, this system aims to streamline everything from assignments to teacher/student communication by integrating with Google’s existing services.

This system allows teachers to create assignments online and send them to all the students instead of handing out paperwork. This also allows students to finish assignments online and teachers to track each assignment. But just doing assignments online isn’t enough, so Google integrated a way to communicate with the teacher should you need any help.

Best of all, Google has made the system free for schools to use and won’t even use the data for ads. It’s absolutely incredible that Google is doing all of this for free. The system will start testing in around a month for those teachers who applied, and will see a wider rollout come September. What do you think of this system? Will you be able to use it sometime soon, do you wish you had this when you were in school? I sure do. Tell us your thoughts in the comments!
