[APK] More App Updates: Camera, Docs, Drive, Google Now Launcher, and Play Services

gapps

The last two weeks have been a bit strange with regards to first party Google application updates. This all started last Thursday with a significant update to Google Play Music, bringing upgraded mobile playlist management. Then one day later, we saw a significant upgrade to Google Drive, which removed the application’s native editing capabilities. Things then got really interesting on Tuesday of this week with a major upgrade to Google Maps 8. Of course during this past week, we also got our usual dose of “Google Update Wednesday,” with updates to Google Camera, Play Services, Wallet, Search, YouTube, Docs, Sheets, Cloud Print, and Drive.

Now just three days after the last barrage of first party application updates, we have a few additional minor point revisions. First up, we have Google Play Services, which has gone from version 4.4.48 to 4.4.49. So far, we have APKs for both the 1160803-034 (240 DPI) and 1160803-070 builds, and we will share more if /when they make their way to our devices. Next, we have Google Now Launcher version 1.0.16.1154249, Google Drive 1.3.144.26 (from 1.3.144.25), Google Docs 1.3.144.14 (from 1.3.144.12), and Google Camera 2.1.043 (from 2.1.042).

Given the extremely small version number differences, it’s highly unlikely that these application updates have any user-facing changes. Thus, they’re most likely simply bug fixes for minor niggles that were encountered after the previously linked updates began their staged rollouts via the Play Store.

As always, these updates will gradually make their way out to devices via a staged rollout. Thus, your device most likely won’t be in the initial wave. However, we’ve gone ahead and mirrored all of them on our Dev-Host account so that you can update your device on your schedule—not Google’s. Head over to the mirrored app update links below to get started:

[Many thanks once again to XDA Portal Supporter MihirGosai for the heads up and APKs!]
