LG G3 packaging leaked, golden color to match the phone

Now that the two most anticipated Android flagships have been released, we wait for the smaller players to show us what they are really capable of. With both the HTC One (M8) and Samsung Galaxy S5 being solid devices, we need something amazing to blow us away. We’re currently waiting to see offerings from LG, Sony, OnePlus, and a few others, but the focus has been on LG the past few days.

The latest leak is this photo of the LG G3 packaging. While packaging wouldn’t be that interesting in the first place, we couldn’t help but notice the nice and classy golden color. That color will match the body of the device, as the G3 will be offered in gold. And while I’m not a fan of golden devices myself, this subdued color may look really nice on an LG-designed phone.

Other specs are not known aside from the display resolution, which LG confirmed to be a crazy 2560×1440. Rumored specs include a Snapdragon 801 processor and an Adreno 330 GPU, though not much else is known. As far as physical design, we haven’t had a single leak. But the latest LG leak is the LG isai FL, and the design language of that phone is amazing. Hopefully it’ll make it to the G3.

I’m excited to see what LG can offer this year. I’ve never been a fan of LG devices myself, not being wowed by older Android devices made by the manufacturer, but this might change with the G3. The LG G2 was very interesting and a big step forward, so let’s see what LG will do next. Are you excited for the LG G3? Leave a comment!
