Google changes photo of Galaxy S4 Google Play edition to Galaxy S5, device coming soon?

When HTC announced the all new One (M8), it came along with a Google Play edition at the same time. The devices soon went on sale for all to buy. But when Samsung announced the Galaxy S5, there was no hint of a Google Play edition. The flagship has been on sale for a few weeks now, yet we still haven’t heard any official word about a stock Android variant. However, we now have our first hint that it’s coming soon.

If you take a look at the “Google Play edition devices” section of the Play Store, you’ll see that the photo of the Galaxy S4 has been replaced with a photo of a white Galaxy S5 running stock Android. The name remains the same, and the page for the device is unchanged, but we can assume that the device is coming very soon if Google is already changing the main device page.

We’ll keep watching the page and we’ll be sure to let you guys know when the device is available for purchase. But tell us, will you be buying the Galaxy S5 Google Play edition? With all the talks of lag and TouchWiz not being very fast, this might just be the perfect solution. Leave a comment!
