T-Mobile Galaxy S4 latest device to get Android 4.4.2 KitKat

The KitKat rollout for Samsung’s line of devices hasn’t exactly been fast lately, but another device has received the update here in the US. This time it’s the T-Mobile Galaxy S4, joining its big bother the Note 3 with the newest version of Android. Although it’s not a huge update, it’s an important one.

Visibly, this update makes the status bar icons all white and redesigns the lockscreen with better album art support and a new camera shortcut. But under the hood are where most changes lie. With KitKat, you get better performance, lower memory usage, wireless printing support and more. However, for the general user, this update won’t really do all that much.

Nonetheless, it’s a good update so make sure to install it when it comes around! To check for updates, head to Settings > General > About phone and check for new updates. And if you don’t get anything, be patient. The update is rolling out slowly, so you may have to wait a few days before it comes to you. So tell us if you got the update in the comments!
