Steve Jackson's Sorcery! interactive gamebook debuts on Android on March 12th

Steve Jackson's Sorcery! gamebooks have been around for quite some time, originally debuting in 1983. These books were like a sub-series of the Fighting Fantasy franchise and while Tin Man Games is delivering those titles to us, indie game developers Inkle will be bringing the Sorcery! series to us next month.

This new series is not exactly like what you are used to when it comes to interactive gamebooks from companies like Tin Man Games. Instead the game features a unique sword-fighting system designed for touch devices, the choice between a male or female hero, and an arsenal of almost 50 magical spells.

In order to progress through this game, you'll be moving through a map where you will choose your own route and either gaining the perks of choosing right or dealing with the consequences of a poor choice. Regardless of which route you carve out, the storyline will follow suit.

The Sorcery! series will be making its first release this March 12th, 2014 and will cost $4.99 when it arrives. The second part will e following shortly afterwards.
