Motorola Migrate App Updated To Version 1.3, Adds More Refined Content Transfer Options, Automatic SIM Contact Import, And More
The official Motorola Migrate app received a notable update today, adding a few new features to Moto's smartphone transfer tool that should ease the pain of getting a new handset.
In particular, the new version allows more granular control over which content you want to transfer to the new handset, instead of just sending everything over wholesale, at least for Android-to-Android migration. You can toggle contacts, messages, photos, videos, music, and call logs as part of the new version's migration process.

Choose what content to transfer
Automatically import SIM contacts to your preferred Google account
Improved interaction for situations where old phone’s content is larger than new phone’s available space
Minor bug fixes
Note: you will need Migrate 1.3 on BOTH your old and new Android phone to use the new features
Additionally, Migrate will now automatically import your transferred SIM contacts to your Google account of choice on your new device, which should keep you from ever having to worry about your contacts being synced up in the future.
1.3 also improves how the app handles situations where your current phone's content exceeds the storage capacity of your new device, presumably by telling you "you got too much stuff, dude." The requisite minor bug fixes are in tow, as well. Hit up the Play Store link below to grab the newest version when it becomes widely available.
