All new HTC One sell sheet reveals new hardware and software details

With over 50 articles on the all new HTC One (M8) in our archives, you’d think that all the phones mysteries would have been revealed by now. The all new HTC One brochure leak we posted this morning revealed what the phone’s Duo Camera is capable of, but a new sell sheet has pulled back the curtain a bit more, revealing other hardware and software features that we’re not yet been privy to.

The all new HTC One will reportedly be powered by a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 rather than the previously-rumored Snapdragon 800 chip. The documentation confirms a 5-inch 1080 display, 16GB of internal storage (10GB accessible to users) with a microSD card slot, nanoSIM slot, 5 megapixel front-facing camera and 2,600 mAh battery, all tucked inside an aluminum body that measures 146.36 x 70.6 x 9.35mm and weighs in at 160 grams. The 1/3.0-inch, f/2.0 aperture, 2µm pixel size UltraPixel camera tech from last year’s HTC One is back, but we’ll have to wait for another rumor or leak to give us an indication of how many megapixels the all new HTC One will have.

The sell sheet doesn’t reveal many details about HTC Sense 6 and the software loaded on the new One, but it does indicate that users will be able to wake the device with a simple swipe that will take them to their favorite apps or BlinkFeed. This software feature will be accompanied by the double-tap to wake functionality that we learned about earlier today.

The all new HTC One’s processor will be clocked slower than the one found inside of the Samsung Galaxy S5, but benchmark numbers show that HTC’s device is already one step ahead of the class. If it can find a way to optimize the phone’s 2,600mAh battery, HTC may have a best-in-class device on its hands.
