Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo Is Official With A 5.5-Inch 720p AMOLED, Android 4.3, And S Pen Support
Samsung hasn't made a big fuss about it yet, but the long-rumored Galaxy Note 3 Neo is now official. The device, which is a more modestly specced version of the Note 3, has popped up on Samsung's Polish site with all the pictures and data points you could ever want.
There are two versions of the Note 3 Neo, one with LTE and a hexa-core ARM chip, and another with 3G and a quad-core processor. You can check out all the specs below.
- Network: 3G (HSPA 21MB/s): 850/900/1900/2100 MHz, LTE Cat 4 bands vary by market
- Processor: quad-core A9 1.6 GHz (3G), A15 Dual 1.7GHz + 1.3GHz Quad A7 (LTE)
- Display: 5.5 " HD Super AMOLED (1280x720 )
- RAM: 2GB
- Storage: 16GB + microSD
- Battery: 3100mAh
- Operating System: Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean)
- Camera: Main (Rear): 8 MP, Secondary (front): 2 MP
- Communication: WiFi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, GPS / GLONASS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 (LE), IR
- Dimensions: 148.4 x 77.4 x 8.6 mm, 162.5 g
The big difference between the Neo and Note 3 proper is the screen, which is a little smaller and only 720p here. The camera is also knocked down to 8MP. You still get the S Pen with the Note 3 Neo and that means all the Air Command and handwriting stuff is built-in. This is basically going to be a cheaper way to get that experience with updated software. It also has Samsung's new favorite thing – faux leather on the back.
Pricing and availability are unknown at this time, but at least you can decide if this is a thing you might want now.
