Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 with built-in LTE launching next month

The Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 is getting an LTE upgrade.

Samsung has confirmed that a new version of the Chromebook Plus V2 with 4G LTE included is coming soon. It’ll be available from Samsung.com, Best Buy, and Verizon starting November 2nd for $599.99, up $100 from the non-LTE model that launched earlier this year.

Details on the 4G LTE connectivity are still light, but considering that this Chromebook Plus V2 will be sold by Verizon, it’s probably a safe bet that the device will work on Verizon’s network. Aside from the addition of LTE, this Chromebook looks similar to the non-LTE model that launched earlier this year, offering features like 12.2-inch 1920×1080 display, Intel Celeron 3965Y processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a microSD slot.

Also of note is that Samsung’s Chromebook Plus V2 is its convertible design. This means that you can flip the keyboard around and use the laptop more like a tablet when you don’t need the physical QWERTY. The Chromebook Plus V2 also comes with a built-in stylus.

Being able to get online without having to worry about finding a Wi-Fi connection is pretty great, and while you could use your phone as a hotspot to connect a Wi-Fi-only laptop, having an LTE-enabled laptop like Samsung’s Chromebook Plus V2 will help to save the battery on your phone. If that sounds appealing to you, look out for the Chromebook Plus V2 next month.
