OnePlus 6T will include a ‘whole new UI’ and navigation gesture improvements

OnePlus today continued teasing the features of its upcoming OnePlus 6T flagship.

In a post in its official forums, OnePlus teased the OxygenOS software features that’ll be included with the OnePlus 6T. For example, OnePlus says that it’s got “a whole new UI” coming with the OP6T “that you will have to experience for yourself to really understand”. OnePlus is also focusing on making camera improvements, but it didn’t say exactly what those might be.

Another focus of the software on the OnePlus 6T will be gestures and navigation. OnePlus says that it’s making navigation gestures smoother overall, like when you swipe up in an app, the application window will follow your finger for a more natural experience. OnePlus is also letting you flick from the bottom of the screen towards the right to quickly change between two recently used apps. A new action will let you hold down the power button for 0.5 seconds to launch Google Assistant.

In addition to these software features, OnePlus has confirmed a few hardware features of the OnePlus 6T. So far, OnePlus has said that the OP6T will have an in-display fingerprint sensor and a Snapdragon 845 processor. One thing that it won’t have, though, is a 3.5mm headphone jack, so be prepared for that if you’re interested in OnePlus’s next flagship.

The OnePlus 6T will be officially announced on October 30th. Which features would you like to see included with the OnePlus 6T?
