The LG V40 ThinQ will be announced on October 3 with three rear cameras

If you are a fan of Android handsets and you aren’t already overly excited for Google’s Pixel 3 event on October 9, LG would like to grab some of your attention a little bit earlier in the month.

The Life’s Good crew has revealed that it will be announcing its newest smartphone, the V40 ThinQ, on Wednesday, October 3. That will give LG just under a week to reap the rewards of a new phone announcement before Google gets around to unveiling its newest handsets.

The event will be on October 3 in New York in the United States and on October 4 in Seoul, South Korea. If that isn’t enough to whet your whistle, the video teaser for the announcement also hints at what will more than likely be the V40 ThinQ’s highlight feature: three rear cameras. We can see in the video that there are three separate lenses being used, including one standard, a wide-angle lens, and a telephoto camera.

The rumors have suggested the V40 ThinQ will boast three rear cameras for quite some time now, so it looks like they were right on target. And with the V40 ThinQ being a flagship handset, we should expect a high-definition display, powerful processor under the hood, and plenty of other features to make the handset worthwhile.

For anyone that’s excited to see what LG has up its sleeve, October 3 is practically right around the corner.
