Heads up, Galaxy fans, because Samsung is bringing an assortment of new Android devices to the U.S. this month.
First up, Samsung says that the Galaxy A6 will be available from its online store starting September 14th for $359.99, with carrier launches to follow. The Galaxy A6 features a 5.6-inch 1480×720 Super AMOLED display and two 16MP cameras: one around back with an f/1.7 aperture for solid low-light performance and one around front with an f/1.9 aperture.
Inside the Galaxy A6 is a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7884 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a microSD card slot. There’s a 3000mAh battery powering the whole package, and Samsung has added a fingerprint reader and facial recognition tech for increased security. Android 8.0 and NFC are included as well.
In other smartphone news, Samsung plans to release unlocked versions of the Galaxy J3 (shown above) and Galaxy J7 on September 14th for $169.99 and $249.99, respectively. These phones previously launched on carriers, but soon you’ll be able to buy unlocked versions, too.
The Galaxy J3′s spec list includes a 5-inch HD display, 8MP (f/1.9) rear camera, and 5MP (f/2.2) front camera, while the Galaxy J7 boasts a 5.5-inch HD screen, 13MP (f/1.7) rear camera, and 13MP (f/1.9) front-facing camera.
Finally, there’s the Galaxy Tab A 10.5. As its name suggests, this device is a tablet with a 10.5-inch LCD screen and a resolution of 1920×1200. Powering this Galaxy tablet is a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, and there’s 32GB of storage built in along with a microSD card slot in case you need more storage.
Other notable features of the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 include 8MP and 5MP cameras, Android 8.1, a 7300mAh battery, and quad speakers. Samsung plans to begin selling a Wi-Fi model on September 14th for $329.99, and an LTE-enabled model will launch at Sprint and Verizon later this year.
