Project Fi giving $20 credit to those affected by Hurricane Florence

Project Fi, Google’s innovative wireless carrier, is offering a $20 account credit to customers who have been affected by Hurricane Florence. The credit is based off billing zip code and eligible customers need not take any steps to claim their credit. Project Fi will automatically credit accounts and is sending out emails to those who will receive the credit.

This isn’t the first time that Project Fi has offered credit during natural disasters. The company took similar measures during Hurricane Harvey. In the event of a crisis, it’s crucial for individuals to be able to communicate and connect with loved ones, help lines, and more. An account credit gives individuals extra data to work with as they rebuild and repair after the storm.

It’s worth noting that other carriers have also offered free data to those affected by Florence. Even in a competitive market, it’s refreshing to see major carriers remembering their customers and helping them in a time of need.

What do you think of this action by Project Fi? Will you be receiving an account credit?
