Michael Kors introduces new Runway smartwatches with Wear OS
Michael Kors is a luxury watch brand that joined the Android Wear smartwatch race back in 2016. Since then, the company has teamed up with Google to launch the Access lineup of smartwatches.
This week, Michael Kors is unveiling new devices as part of its Runway lineup. These new smartwatches boast 1.2-inch circular displays which have a resolution of 360×360. The casing is metal, they has built-in NFC for mobile payment support, GPS, and are swim-proof. They’re running Google’s Wear OS and have Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 under their hoods, which is definitely starting to show its age. (Qualcomm has an event coming up where it’ll likely announce a new processor smartwatche.)
Michael Kors says the battery will last for about a day’s worth of usage before it needs to be topped up. Pricing starts at $249 but can go up to $450 depending on the model you want to pick up and wrap around your wrist.
There is a brand new model with a silicone strap, which should be a nice addition to the lineup, especially for the folks who want to wear the watch while they are doing something active and don’t want a metal band on their smartwatch.
You can pick up one of the new Runway smartwatches from Michael Kors beginning today.
