Google Pixel 3 XL wireless charging confirmed as camera samples leak out
Despite the fact that the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL aren’t expected to be announced until October, that hasn’t stopped the rumor mill from going hog wild and showing off the Pixel 3 XL in just about every conceivable way possible, save for on a stage with Google executives talking about the handset.
Just a couple of days ago, for instance, we got a couple of different snapshots of the Pixel 3 XL and that glorious notch out in the wild thanks to the owner navigating public transit and an eagle-eyed passenger. Before that, a video confirmed some of the specs we’d seen rumored, and we’ve also seen that Google apparently plans to include a pair of wired Pixel Buds headphones in the box with the future flagship smartphone.
So, here we are and we’ve got even more confirmations of what Google plans on launching later this year. Thanks to Rozetked.me we’ve got a clear look at the front of the handset, once again confirming that it will have a pretty noticeable notch at the top and a chin on the bottom. Around back there’s that single camera setup, so Google is indeed sticking with that design decision.
There’s also an image of the box being unpacked, showing off the phone, the USB-C cable, charger, and those aforementioned wired Pixel Buds headphones:
If that isn’t enough, how about a confirmation that the Pixel 3 XL is going to support wireless charging? That’s what we get in a quick video posted by the same source on Twitter, which shows the smartphone being set down on a wireless charging pad and then showing an animation that it is being charged.
