Google Pixel 3 launch date possibly revealed

Google’s Pixel 3 smartphone is hotly anticipated, and now, the search giant may have let slip the release date for its upcoming flagship. Spotted by YouTuber Brandon Lee of This is Tech Today, an ad for the Pixel 3 has been posted on Google’s Famebit website. If you’re not familiar, Famebit connects marketers to content creators for influencer marketing programs. This particular ad is for the Pixel 3 and is looking for Canadian influencers to switch to the Pixel 3 upon release.

The ad specifically says that, “The Pixel 3 phone is launching October 4th, 2018.” This lines up with past Pixel announcements. Google typically holds a “Made by Google” event on October 4, where it has released the previous two Pixel devices. Now, it should be noted that the term “launch” doesn’t necessarily correlate with availability. Google will likely announce the phone on October 4, with a release date following thereafter.

It’s also important to remember that there’s no way to verify that this ad is actually from Google. There is the possibility that this could be a hoax, though it seems unlikely given the specifics and professional appearance of the ad on Google’s own site.

What are you hoping for in the Pixel 3? Let us know in the comments!
